Good Harbor Beach

A beautiful wide flat beach with soft sand excellent for walking, body surfing, and volleyball. At low tide, walk out to Salt Island and while at high tide enjoy body surfing or boogie boards. Restrooms and showers are available as well from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm daily.

Bear Skin Neck, Rockport

The shops, galleries and restaurants that line the narrow roads are all small locally-owned businesses where you can find some unique artistic treasures. Be sure to check out Motif #1, a fishing shack in town that is the most painted building in America.

If you are a guest of the Ocean House at Bass Rocks, enjoy exclusive discounted access to the award-winning private Bass Rocks Golf Club.

The Cape Ann Golf Club (9 holes) is a public course (15 minutes away) with sweeping marsh and ocean views.

Whale Watching

NOTE: the crews are very committed to making sure you see whales, so you can end up on board for up to 4 hours.

We recommend going with Cape Ann Whale Watch (5 min by car).

Great Marsh brewing in Essex (10 min by car) is a great place to hang out with some stellar New England IPAs.
